Everyone writes on the same story, at the same time, from their own phone. You only ever see the prompt, never what anybody else has written. Then it all comes out at once.

How it works

  1. 1
    Start a table and send the code Anyone can join from a browser on any phone or laptop. Two to eight people, or play on your own against the story engine.
  2. 2
    Answer seven prompts, one line each He is… She is… Where are they? Everyone answers at the same time, on a different story. The papers pass round after every round.
  3. 3
    Read the wreckage out loud Seven lines, several authors, nobody having seen the others. That is the whole game, and it is funnier than it has any right to be.

The Underwater Disco Incident

  1. He is a retired pirate with allergies.
  2. She is a DJ who only plays elevator music.
  3. They meet at an underwater disco.
  4. Together they adopt a goose.
  5. He says: “Get in the van”
  6. She says: “Absolutely not!”
  7. In the end, everyone got a medal.

Four people wrote that. None of them knew what the others had put.
